Hello YTS Readers,
I felt compelled to share this quote. When I saw it, I immediately thought about myself and where I am in this journey call life. I started out this year setting new gals for myself and promising to have a theme of holistic health and happiness. I really wanted to search for an organic form of happiness in every area of my life.
Here are some of my promises:
* I promise to feed myself whole, nutrient-rich foods that not only promote weight loss but fight against diseases.
* I promise to enhance/cultivate the relationships of friends and family.
* I promise to give back through community service (volunteering)
* I promise to work diligently on my career by pursuing work that is fulfilling – Not just a paycheck.
As you can see, my list is pretty lofty. But I REFUSE to settle for less. It is now March and since setting these goals at the beginning of the year, It’s been rough. I’ve certainly had my fair share of setbacks. However, as the quote states above, I am going to try to remember to practice celebrating each victory along the way – no matter how small. I hope this encourages you to do the same.
What have you achieved along the way (own it)?
Wishing You Wisdom, Strength, and Balance.

Hello YTS Readers!
I saw this and had to post it. I want to be this kind of woman. I wan’t to move throughout my day conquering whatever is ahead. I don’t want to be identified by the devil as an easy target to be picked on, but as someone to be FEARED! What are you going to conquer today?
Wishing you Wisdom, Strength, and Balance,
SJP
Hello to all of my YTS readers!
I know what you’re thinking…..It’s about time! I’ve been missing in action for quite a while now. I’ve had a lot of things going on since my last post – both in my professional and personal life. It has taken me a while to regain my footing but I am proud to say – I am back and here to stay!
I have gotten so many calls, emails, text etc. asking when I would write again. I honestly didn’t realize I would be missed. Thanks for all of the support from my faithful readers. I promise to bring you along as I embark (again) on my journey to find wisdom, strength and balance.
Thanks again for your support.

Okay. So I know this may be hard for some of you to believe, but I am a very private person. I hardly ever volunteer information about myself. But, today I am going to go out on a limb. Today is my eighth wedding anniversay! So, I would like to dedicate today’s post to my wonderful, smart, intelligent, handsome husband!
I saw this quote on pinterest and knew it would be a perfect salute to him for today. Lord know’s, I dated my fair share of bad apples. I’m certain that’s the reason I was able to identify our relationship as the blessing it truly is.
In our eight years of marriage, we’ve experienced a lot of ups and downs (like most relationships). I know the reason we’re still together is because even during the rough times, I never wondered if he was really the “right” one. I know in my heart of hearts he is God’s gift to me (and our son - Thank You Lord!) Being sure of that has kept me committed to our marriage, and I am thankful for every moment we’ve shared.
So for all of you ladies still searching, keep at it. Good guys do exist, I have one to prove it.
I wish you Wisdom, Strength and Balance.

Hello YTS readers!
Since it’s the beginning of the week, I thought this would be great to share. It is something that I would like for you to keep in your spirit, as the week progresses. If you’re busy like me, everyday will come with its own challenges. That’s why the words above are such a positive affirmation for how to deal with things as they come. If we learn to take those “bricks” and use them as stepping-stones, as they began to stack up we move higher and higher, one step at a time.
So, there you have it – your assignment for this week Vow to take every bad situation and turn it into a learning experience. Sure it’ll be difficult as the week moves ahead and things spiral at you unexpectedly, but I know you’re strong enough to do it. And be sure to check in and tell me how it’s going. I can’t wait to hear from you!!!!
Wishing you Wisdom, Strength and Balance.

Hello YTS Readers!
I was attracted to this the moment I saw it. As a women, I know how hard we can be on ourselves. Our bodies are often subjected to various changes throughout our lives. Think about it. Throughout the course of a women’s life we deal with the effects of menstrual cycles, child-birth, and menopause. There’s no question our bodies endure a lot, there’s bound to be some visible changes to our anatomy. Don’t get me wrong, I strive to treat my body well in return for a long life. However, after all is said and done, I often need to remind myself to accept what I see in the mirror. After all, it’s a blessing to be alive to see it!
How do you see yourself? Leave a comment to let me know what beauty means to you.
I wish you wisdom, strength, and balance.

Hello YTS Readers.
I saw this on pinterest and it really struck a chord with me. I recall watching an interview that Will Smith did with Oprah. He spoke about his”‘sphere of influence” and how important is has been for his career. I also remember my mom giving motherly advice by saying gravity makes it much easier for someone to pull you down instead of you pulling them up to where you are.
Until now, I never realized that somehow this must have been planted in my subconscious. I can honestly say that my core group of friends (that I’ve known for years), are all ladies that I have learned a lot from. I have learned – among many things – how to be strong, resilient, spiritual, confident, funny, ambitious, kind and most of all genuine. Time goes by and miles have caused there to be distance but whenever I get a chance to hang out and catch up with “my crew”, its as though no time has passed and the distance quickly loses it’s breath under the grip of our closeness. The transparency we have has allowed us to see each other through death, new life, failure and success. I don’t have to look far for inspiration. Each one of them has a story to tell. One that makes me glad we are friends.
I am soooooo blessed to have friends who lift me higher!
Wishing you,
Wisdom. Strength. Balance.

Resolve to set aside some time this week to evaluate if the people you are surrounded by, lift you higher.
Do they show genuine happiness for your success or are they intimidated by it.
Good Morning YTS readers!
I have found that I am more productive in a well organized workspace. That’s why these images caught my eye. I hope the pictures below inspires you to take some time this week and organize your workspace. Remeber start small. You’ll be surprised at how much more productive you are when things are laid out in front of you. Take it from me – the clutter queen! Take a look below and let me know what you think.
I love this corkboard calendar because of it’s size. It does double duty as a wall size calendar as well as a piece of wall art. I also like that it’s easy to read and sure to create converstion.
I was visually drawn to this space because of it’s clean lines and crisp white and black color theme. Every item has a home. Use of handy those storage containers and wall bins, important documents are always easy to find. I also like the idea of expanding storage vertically, from the desk to the wall. What a smart way to conserve space.

I hope this serves as a catalyst to get some decluttering projects underway.
I wish you:
Wisdom. Strength. Balance.

Good Morning YTS readers!
Sometimes we need things spelled out for us (especially on Mondays). It’s so easy to get off track with distractions or simply not have focus at all. Before you know it the day has slipped away, without being able to get a handle on things.
That’s why I love this poster I found on pinterest. How handy is this? I am suggesting to all of you out there to create a poster size schedule of your own. Using this as an outline, hang it somewhere you’re sure to see it daily.
It really helped to get me going. Let me know what you think!
I wish you Wisdom, Strength and Balance!
